About

A little on the Studio Rural story

why?

Studio Rural was built on the belief that rural and regional people and businesses deserve imagery and design that reflect the quality of their work and the individuality of their story. Whether it's creating a brand, documenting a family, capturing a business, or helping someone articulate their visual voice, the focus is always the same: creating work that honours the story being told.

how?

Few studios offer both graphic design and photography. Working in both spaces allows Studio Rural to help clients create brands and imagery that is clear, consistent and unmistakably theirs.

where?

Based in regional Queensland and working with clients across Australia and abroad, Studio Rural combines thoughtful design, story-led photography and strategic thinking to help people represent themselves with confidence.

Studio Rural

I’m Annabelle Spann, the creative behind Studio Rural. Having spent much of my life in rural and regional Queensland, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the people and communities that make these places so unique. I believe that living in regional, rural, or remote areas isn’t a disadvantage - it’s an advantage. There’s a little more room to breathe, a different pace of life, and a strong sense of connection to the people and communities around us, allowing us to thrive. My work goes beyond visuals, bringing clarity, direction, and a considered approach so everything feels aligned, intentional, and true to the people behind it.

Alongside this, I also photograph families and portraits, capturing people’s tenacious spirit and the genuine connections that make rural life so wonderful.

“But Farmer Hoggett knew that little ideas that tickle and nag and won’t go away should never be ignored, for in them lie the seeds of destiny.”
